Making Short Work of the SFG Snatch Test

Great article from Aleks Salkin, SFK II instructor, on making the 5-minute certification test a bit easier. Snatching a 24kg bell (16kg for women) for 5 consecutive minutes under the glaring eye of a SFK Master can be a bit intimidating. But the techniques outlined should make it 100% achievable. Swing and snatch a heavier bell. Breath twice as much (click through for the video). Swing across the mid-line. Follow the simple programming (snatch once a week). Easy.

One of the things I love about the Strong First blog is their practical advice for strength training. Conversations about theory are kept to a minimum. Form is always first. Generally the advice comes with programming for you to implement. Programming that is generally tested and proven in the field.
